UK returns, refunds and cancellation

Two separate legal rights protect you. They apply on top of each other, not instead of each other.

Right A

14-day right to change your mind

Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Any reason, including no reason. Notify within 14 days of delivery; return within a further 14 days.

Right B

30-day right to reject faulty goods

Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 20.

Applies when goods are faulty, misdescribed or not fit for purpose. Full refund; you do not need a reason beyond the fault.

A · 14-day cancellation right (CCR 2013)

You have the right to cancel your contract with us within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day on which you (or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you) acquire physical possession of the goods.

How to cancel

Notify us with a clear statement of your decision to cancel. You can:

To meet the cancellation deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the 14-day period has expired.

Return postage — who pays

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Estimated UK insured courier cost is £25–£45 depending on carrier and service. Contact us at contact@barsys.com before shipping so we can issue a return authorisation and confirm the delivery address.

You must send the goods back or hand them over to us without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days from the day on which you communicate cancellation.

Refund

We will refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction. If you selected a delivery option more expensive than our standard offering, we will refund only the standard cost.

We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value if this has been caused by your handling the goods in a way that would not be permitted in a shop.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back — whichever is earlier.

B · 30-day right to reject faulty goods (CRA 2015 s.20)

Under section 20 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have a short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to contract — goods that are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for a particular purpose you made known to us, or not as described. This right lasts 30 days from delivery.

Exercising this right entitles you to a full refund. You do not pay return postage for goods that were faulty on delivery.

After the 30-day period you retain the right to request repair or replacement (CRA 2015 s.23) or, if that fails, a partial or full refund (s.24). Contact contact@barsys.com.

Warranty (contractual, in addition to statutory rights)

The Barsys 360 carries a one-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days). Nothing in this warranty limits your remedies against the seller under the Act.

Duties, VAT and delivery to the UK

Prices displayed on the UK store include VAT at 20% and are quoted DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). There is nothing to pay on delivery. If you cancel under Right A above, VAT is refunded with the price.
