What is in the canisters this week

Ten ingredients are loading faster than the rest. Read them and you can see next month's menu forming.

Barsys 360 canisters, loaded

The trending chart tells you what people poured last week. The canisters tell you what they are about to pour. Every time an owner refills, the machine notes what went in — and in aggregate, those refills are a leading indicator. Read the ingredients climbing fastest and you are essentially reading next month's menu while it is still forming.

Ingredients are honest

Finished-drink data can be flattered by a trend or a viral clip. Canister loads cannot. Nobody fills a 750 ml canister with yuzu to impress an algorithm — they fill it because they intend to drink it, repeatedly, over the next few weeks. That makes this list the most honest signal on the platform, and it is pointing in three clear directions.

1 · The agave category keeps loading

Mezcal at +26% confirms what the Paloma hinted at in the trending report: agave is not a moment, it is a migration. When people start keeping mezcal loaded as a staple rather than buying it for one occasion, the category has crossed from curiosity to habit. Expect more smoke on next month's chart.

2 · Coffee is becoming a base, not a nightcap

Espresso (+36%) and cold-brew concentrate (+19%) both climbing at once is the more surprising story. Coffee is graduating from the single after-dinner Espresso Martini into a general-purpose building block — coffee Negronis, cold-brew highballs, espresso-washed everything. When two forms of the same ingredient rise together, it usually means people have stopped thinking of it as one drink and started treating it as a pantry item.

3 · Zero-proof is stocking the bar, not the exception

Elderflower (+22%) and zero-proof aperitivo (+17%) rising together is the throughline from the trending chart made concrete. These are not one-off purchases for a designated driver; they are staples being kept on hand. A zero-proof aperitivo in a permanent canister slot means the household now expects to make a good non-alcoholic drink on demand — the same way it expects to make a good gin one.

Grapefruit soda, at the very top, is the whole story in one ingredient: bright, low-proof-friendly, endlessly mixable.

How to read this if you own a 360

Treat this list as a stocking guide with a two-week head start. If you keep four of the top six loaded — grapefruit soda, espresso or cold-brew, a good mezcal, and elderflower — you can build the majority of what is trending without a single special trip. The machine handles the ratios; the canisters are the only decision you actually have to make, and this is the data that makes it easy.
